About Us

David was one of the founder members of the practise. Following graduation in Geology in 1977, his early career included experience with a site investigation contractor followed by specialist geotechnical work with consulting engineering practices, Bullen & Partners and Babtie. In 1984, he was appointed Regional Manager of Johnson Poole and Bloomer with the task of establishing their Scottish office. Following the successful development of the business, in which he was ultimately Managing Director for the Scottish branch, he left 11 years later to set up Mason Evans Partnership with colleagues from JPB.

In the course of his career, David has been involved in some of the most prestigious development schemes carried out in Scotland in the last 30 years. These include the A82 Loch Lomond route, Mossend Eurocentral Development, Ravenscraig and Clydeshaws Steelworks Reclamation, Cardowan Colliery Reclamation, M74 Extension, Robroyston Technology Park and Cambuslang Investment Park. Throughout his career, he estimates that he has been involved in over 10,000 development schemes and is routinely consulted as an expert witness.

In his spare time, David enjoys football, golf, sailing, hillwalking, and socialising!
